Air Bearing Movers
Air Caster's air bearing (also known as air caster) mover is a structural load-carrying frame with a single air bearing. Normally used in sets of four or more, movers powered by air bearings give friction free, easy movement of heavy loads.
How air bearings work with movers
As individual units, Air Caster’s movers use air bearings to provide the maximum versatility for transporting loads of various widths and lengths. The movers are spaced apart as needed to support and carry the load. Available in a wide range of capacities, these units are used by maintenance departments and riggers and referred to as air skids and air skates.
Air Caster’s air bearings-powered movers are available in both aluminum and steel. The lighter weight aluminum structures are more portable, while the steel units are normally bolted or attached to the machine or fixture to be moved.
Features of air bearing movers
Slide out mounting allows air bearings to be serviced without lifting the load.
Offers versatile positioning to fit almost any load.
Movement and positioning are easy.
Air bearings provide low floor loading to prevent the damage that frequently occurs with steel wheels or rollers.

Use as many units as needed to handle extremely difficult loads.
Spark-free operation allows use in hazardous areas.
Abrasion resistant urethane diaphragms are used on air bearings.
